I. ESTABLISHMENT OF QUORUM

A quorum of 4 voting members was not established. An informal discussion took place with no Motions/Votes.

Mr. Jim Richards noted the upcoming business trade show to be held on November 3rd and 4th, 2006 at the Scout Hall on Abbe Road. The event is sponsored by the East Windsor Chamber of Commerce. The cost of a booth for a participating business is $50.00—all proceeds will go to the scholarship fund. The approximate hours of the exhibition will be from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday / 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. There was discussion about EDC having a booth to provide information about the town. Final details will be forthcoming, as the date gets closer.
Discussion entailed regarding the prospect of EDC members attending a meeting of the Board of Education (BOE), preferably in September. The goal is to work with the BOE as a team to find out the needs of the residents of the town, in addition to providing information about strategies to enhance the community. Chairman Eric Moffett will contact John Pica, Chairman of the BOE to find out when the Economic Development Commission can be placed on the Board of Ed’s agenda.
Chairman Moffett provided a draft of a written item highlighting the importance of economic development, for publication in the next town newsletter. There was a brief discussion with minor changes.
